Why Online Therapy?

Hello, I’m Fran, a Registered Psychotherapist based in Newmarket, Ontario.

 My story is a tapestry of diverse experiences, including navigating divorce in my 40s and returning to college in my 50s to earn a degree. I have experienced divorce, raised children as a single Mom, I understand grief through the loss of both my parents and like you have experienced the uncertainty life can bring with the fears stemming from the pandemic along with the economic, climate and peace crisis.  My journey includes relocation back and forth to Canada several times over the last 33 years, as well as facing what it was like to return to work after being a stay at home Mom for many years. 

 Through these experiences, I’ve learned that true strength comes not just from pushing through tough times but from developing a deep understanding of ourselves —recognizing the pitfalls we face, like people-pleasing, anxiety, comparison culture, and the many other  stressors modern life brings.  This awareness has shaped how I approach my work, I know to support someone effectively on their journey, it's essential to understand their challenges and hold space with true empathy and care.

This personal insight has shaped how I support others. I believe that to truly guide someone through their journey, we must hold space with genuine empathy, understanding their struggles and creating a safe place for healing.

From my roles as a stay-at-home mom to corporate executive and beyond, I’ve carried the lessons I’ve learned into my work. I’ve also worked in the non-profit sector, developing financial empowerment programs that continue to make a difference today. As a Licensed Therapist and Life Coach, I combine formal training with the wisdom gained through life’s many lessons.
